2009 is almost over, this year was a big year for cinematography in drifting. Videos actually became interesting to watch. Big props to Josh Herron, Will Roegge, Clash Production, and T2 Films

In no particular order:

ClubFR.net Drift Day 25 from Tim Tulov on Vimeo.

- T2 Films video from first event of the year. The cool part about this video, is the majority of it (if not all of it) was made using a D90 camera, a bunch of short HD clips put together.

Drift Mechanik’s Don’t Stop from Will Roegge on Vimeo.

Will Roegge x Gossip Girl… This video came out early this year, definitely one of the most notable, the use of tracking shots made this video quite amazing.

summer chillin from Tim Tulov on Vimeo.

T2 Films again, this is some footage from our cruise in 08, but released in 09. This video will always make me look forward to warm summer days and cruises to downtown Chicago. Also makes me glad that 4 ridiculously built cars can cruise through downtown Chicago without a both from any cops.

d1 chicago from Tim Tulov on Vimeo.

T2 Films again at D1 Chicago, it was amazing in itself to just have D1 in Chicago, wish it was run a little better.

Early Entry from Drift Alliance Media on Vimeo.

I should post all the videos that DA put together, but this isn’t on the list for fancy editing or fancy shots, but completely because it brought an ounce of fun to Formula D. DA created little mini comps amongst themselves in FD this year. Each event had a different comp, things like earliest entry, closest to the wall, etc. The great thing is they only judged on their highest qualifier. I hope to see more of these in 2010.

M3 Supercharger Drifting from Clashproduction on Vimeo.

Just watch it

Formula D Seattle “Breaking Point” (Dirty Version) from Joshua Herron on Vimeo.

Will Roegge made a video for pretty much every stop at FD this year, this is one of my favorites. Reason being, listen to the words of the song and the clips make complete sense, that was always my favorite thing to do when making videos, synchronizing the words to the music.

This was the year of knuckles, and Kawabata won.

This technically came out in November 08, but I am too disappointed in the 2nd one to put it up here, and it was too good to not include.
